one year ago

exactly a year ago today, we met the love of our lives... and on this same night, my heart ached to take him home. the whole night, i couldn't sleep until i had him in my arms again.

God is so good.

i.am.one

well, our little noah is a year old. where has the time gone? it has been such a joy to see him grow into his spunky little self. to see his personality develop, to see him grow, to learn and do new things, we have enjoyed every day with him. time goes by so fast and you just have to cherish exactly where they are at that time, because you can’t get that time back! i simply am still fathomed that we have a one year old!

we started a family tradition of noah picking out the restaurant (well, maybe not this year, but next) and just having family time as our happy little family of three :) we went to a new favorite place of mine, cowboy chow… noah first started by flirting with the hostess while he was getting his pictures taken in the big rocking chairs. the only one downside of our little man is his pickiness – it is such a challenge to get him to eat… but it wasn’t a problem tonight! he first started off with some refried black beans and managed to eat some of my chicken and potatoes.. he even asked for more. he did so well and seemed to keep all those around us entertained by waving hi to everyone. after our fun dinner, we came back and let him stay up a little bit later to play!

happy birthday noah, we love you so incredibly much and thank God for bringing you into our lives.

first christmas.

last year i remember getting stuff ready for noah to come home. Christmas has always felt empty without him. this year, we are all together. and that feeling can't be put into words. the best christmas. our first Chirstmas as a family. we are grateful.

crusing part two...

As you can see, his partner in crime is always one step away from him. she goes everywhere with him so she had to go with him for wagon rides. At first, she was terrified, but now she can sense when we go and she always asks to go. Of course daddy just rolls his eyes and obliges now, suki was our first baby.

drum time.

noah absolutely loves to drum now. when he hears his daddy drumming, he crawls full speed ahead to the laundry room and pounds on the door to go outside. it is the cutest thing ever. when you ask him if he wants to go outside, he says "yeah" and flaps his little arms. won't be before too long when he starts taking his first drum lesson!

noah loves his car and begs to get pushed around in it! when the weather is nice, he goes for walks out on mamaw and papaw's long driveway, but when it's too cold, he gets pushed around in the house. here are some pics of him the past month!

this is the way i brush my teeth...

we started brushing noah's 4 little teeth and although we thought he would hate it (he can't stand for you to look in his mouth to see the teeth).. but he loved it! he now knows that it is apart of his bedtime ritual... after reading his favorite book :)
