we took some more festive Christmas pictures with the quilt my great grandmother made. i love it. noah loved to play with the nutcracker. yes, if you look closely, you will see a chip in his hand. bribery. he didn't last for long but i promised him some cookies after :)

then we made some sugar cookies with sprinkles of course. lately, his favorite is cookie monster and started doing the 'nomnomnom' like cookie does. it is the cutest thing ever.

Christmas cards.

my awesome dad took our pictures for our Christmas cards. we went back to the same location as last year. click here for those pics. and since noah is a year older, lets just say we didn't stay as long as last year. it was in and out in less than 10 minutes. its so hard getting him to not squirm in the pictures not to mention us all to look at the camera on the same level and not blink or have an awful looking face. hah. my allergies were killing me on this day and my makeup shows it. but here is the winner along with the other good ones.

thanks dad (gran)!

thankful.

our second thanksgiving together. truly blessed indeed. this year, noah was a big help all around. below are a few highlights of his day..

i helped daddy make the pumpkin pie....

i helped mommy make cinamon rolls ....

i got mad at mommy for always taking pictures of me....

i lined and stacked the pumpkins....

i got dressed up very handsome with my first tie....

i wouldn't pose for any pictures....

i watched football with uncle jordan....

and i ate pumpkin pie. yup, that's all i would eat out of the whole thanksgiving meal...

there isn't a single day that we aren't thankful for you, noah. we thank God every day for the gift He has given us and to your birthparents for making us your mommy and daddy. we are beyond thankful.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. - 1 Chronicles 16:34

the sweet life

we all went to chickfila saturday morning. we had no idea they have cinnamon rolls. we are in trouble, see for yourself. this boy has such a sweet tooth. and he is obsessed with frosting. can't blame him for that.

this boy can eat a donut

mommy and noah day

today was our day together. i was so excited to have a nice long four day weekend. i even put some Christmas decorations this year. i know, really early but it is my favorite holiday.

noah woke up bright and early, grabbed his blanket from his cabinet and marched into our bedroom and said 'bed, da' daddy has created a little cuddler when they watch (and wrestle) on the bed.

we watched his still favorite bubble guppies halloween episode and then decided to venture outside to eat his breakfast.

we played for an hour in his playroom. i made him some counting and abc cards from paint samples, played with his fridge magnets for a while, and then we headed out for his third haircut. he didn't love it this time but it was over fast and he got a sucker. we then went to chickfila. he ate four whole nuggets. i was thrilled. we went to michaels to get crafts (and he of course found a book and i couldn't say no). then we went to home depot to get some more stuff for crafts and he was so excited that he saw so many birds up close in the garden area. he fed them some puffs.

we stacked blocks (one of his favorite things to do). oh, and he rode the vacuum. yup, the kid gets so excited when we vacuum and he will carefully take a ride on it.

after his haircut earlier, we tried to get cupcakes but the place we go to was closed :( so we decided to make some ourselves... funfetti all the way. i even let him lick the batter since this recipe didn't even call for eggs.

what a good way to end the day :)

down for the count.

last week, noah had his first true sickness… strep throat. it made mommy and daddy very sad. it all started when daddy took him to the park. he came back and threw up but we thought everything was okay because he was still running around being his normal crazy self. he even did after his nap, he woke up scorching hot. we took his temperature and it was around 103. all he wanted to do was cuddle. it was so sweet but made me so sad because he felt miserable. daddy stayed home with him on monday and they just laid in bed all day watching movies and bubble guppies. if daddy got up, he would cry wanting him to lay back down. mommy took him first thing tuesday and the test came back positive for strep throat :(

he was a sad, sad, little guy. he wouldn’t eat a thing it seemed for days. only a bit of juice, milk, and smoothies. we stopped at chickfila (his fav) and that didn’t even cheer him up. so we headed back home to spend the day in bed. we watched the spooky bubble guppies halloween special about 3 times, watched a little bit of finding nemo, elmo, and yo gabba gabba. we read lots of books in bed, and snuggled with the doggies. mommy got his sickness too but got some antibiotics so i wouldn’t get him sick. mommy stayed with him on wednesday and we both snuggled in bed.  being sick is no fun but snuggle time is the best.

we ate lots of ice cream
