dippy

noah loves 'dippy' he loves dipping pretty much everything he eats.. for months it was marinara sauce (on anything and everything) or now his new favorite is queso! good choice noah!

this look says it all . . . .

every single time noah sees his daddy, he looks like this.. you can just see how happy he is in his eyes. even if he's seen him all day and he sees him enter the room, he lights up and says 'daaaaaaaa' in the highest tone. one of his favorite words is daaaaa.. he calls him dad or daddy but most of the time its 'daaaaa' because he is so darn excited to see him. he loves him with all his heart. noah is so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy. he will always be here for him and i know he will look up to him as a hero. i always catch noah looking up to him and then will look at me and smile. mommy is lucky to have two amazing boys... and i can't wait to see their relationship grow over the years. happy father's day daaaaa <3

father's day

happy fathers day to my dad . . . .

you were always here for me... from rocking me to sleep.. to dancing with me as a baby listening to music, from making funny faces to get his picky little girl to eat (sounds familiar), from crawling, to walking, to being a crazy toddler, to my first day of kindergarten, to helping me with science fair projects, to helping me in soccer, to taking us all camping, six flags where we would ride the texas giant over and over again, wet n wild, to coming to every dance recital i had, to getting up early every morning to make my lunch from elementary to junior high.. to going out almost every morning to einstein brothers when i was in high school to get me not one.. but two cinnamon sugar bagels, to help buy my awesome first car.. the toyota supra, to sharing music, to coming to every drill team performance and football game, seeing me graduate high school and college, to walking me down the aisle (um, a beach), to fixing my car when it had an issue, to coming over late at night to fix the disposal that was spraying water everywhere because i shoved too much leftovers down it (hah), to being there on the night we brought noah home, to coming over when we needed help last year and lifting us up, to and everything else. 
 
the little things add up to things i will always remember. as now you aren't only a dad.. but a grandpa to noah :)

secret hideout . . .

for days i was trying to find noah's favorite elmo sippy cup.. i looked everywhere... under the couches, under his bed, in the plants (yes, he likes to hide things in the plants), in his ball pit.. and still couldn't find it.. until one day they all seemed to disappear.. then as i was in the kitchen, i heard noah moving the chairs up front (one of his favorite things to do is push out all the dining room chairs) and then i saw him run and grab a sippy cup from the wine rack.. yup, he seems to think that is the storage place for them! gross! now if he has one gone missing.. i'll know where to look (until he finds a new secret place).

my first masterpiece . . .

noah made his very first fingerpainting for his mamaw for her birthday. he loved making a mess with the paint but wouldn't you know he kept trying to taste the paint.. although he never wants to eat anything he's actually supposed to!

hoping this is his first masterpiece of many more to come! and mamaw loved it so much and calls it a prized possession <3 she hung it up right away where she can see it everyday.

not on your head, noah! mommy had to touch it up after he smeared it on his head. silly boy!

noah loves his mamaw with all his heart. mamaw celebrated her birthday on june 11th and we celebrated with her. she claims she stopped having birthdays years ago.. but we wouldn't let that happen. we are so blessed to have mamaw and papaw watch him during the week while we work. they surround him with so much love during the day. i am so glad he gets to spend his days with them. noah is their little buddy and he is a very lucky little boy.

look closely.. yes, that's a new bag of yogurt melts that noah managed to get from his diaper bag up on the changing table, open it, run excitely down the hall shaking it, and then exploded everywhere. he thought it was funny and kept walking on them and seeing how many he could get stuck on his foot . . . .

our little maverick!

we have been huge MAVS fans for a very long time so we were pyched when they made the playoffs.. and then WON the finals!!

noah is obsessed with basketball.. when it isn't on he asks for ball.. when it is on he can sit and watch with his daddy for a long time. he's going to be sad it's over until october!

good thing is first jersey is a dirk jersey! daddy was so proud when i found it for him. i got him a size 6 so he will get many, many years of good use. and it won't be too long and we will be taking him to his first game!

noah's first date..

noah had his first date with ms. stella this afternoon.. we all headed to the pool with their mini cooler full of milk and juice and they scarfed down chickfila while they floated along. noah was obsessed with the beach ball and got so excited and tried to chase it around. then he showed off and showed stella his killer swim moves he learns in his swim class.

gran came and picked up noah and brought him back home for the day.. but before he did, he took him to his house and he loved exploring in there big backyard with lots of cool stuff (unlike our tree-less, plant-less boring backyard). he found a stick and was so happy and marched around with it and tried to dig up dirt.. think this was the first time he saw dirt.. gran said he kept brushing his little hands off. i have a feeling pretty soon, he will be one muddy, sandy, messy, dirty little boy =o)

splash pad fun

saturday afternoon we all went to one of our favs.. cowboy chow. noah eats so much when we go there.. which makes us very happy as he still is a very finicking eater :/ after we all pigged out, we headed up to the splash pad.. noah liked it but it was right before naptime so we had to cut it short.. last time he went was here. amazing to see how much he has changed since august!

can't wait to have lots of summer pool/splash pad/waterpark fun!

memorial day fun

we wanted to have a low key, relazing memorial day.. we were lucky to have a four day weekend and it was awesome! on monday, we went to have bbq (so someone would do it for us!) and then had some fun outside.

noah's favorite was the waterhose! he couldn't get enough.. and we will have to buy him some sprinkles for the summer.. it's gunna be a hot summer.. already almost hit 100!
