we like parks

we went to a new park today on the way home from mamaw and papaw's house.. it was the coolest.park.ever. a huge treehouse. huge slides. sandbox. weird twirly things. a spiderweb of monkey bars. it was awesome. we will be back for sure.. quiet often i believe.

puppy #2

last month, we welcomed the sixth addition to our home.. ms. moshi. she is around five years old and she is the sweetest thing. we got her because a little someone is taking up suki's limelight.. and she needed a friend.. enter moshi. so far, suki and moshi have been doing wonderful. moshi fits right in and she loooves her noah. she is pretty protective of him already. noah is usually too busy (running around the house demolishing everything in his sight) to really notice the dogs. but over the past few weeks, we think he likes her too :) he loves to take both dogs for a walk after he eats his dinner every night too :)

a day with mommy.. part three

we concluded our fun day with a new snack.. mummy dogs which was just cresent rolls, cheese and a hot dog.. he really liked it to my suprise.

a little tv... his favorite show now is BUBBLE GUPPIES.. he loves it so much!

played outside (thank you texas for FINALLY cooling off!) on his new playground...

and let his balloon fly off.. he kept waving bye and saying 'uh-o'

what a WONDERFUL day :)

a day with mommy.. part two

after naptime we headed up for lunch at chickfila.. my favorite fast food and i think noah has gotten fond of it too.. he recognizes the logo and does a little dance everytime he sees it. and he is obsessed with cows so he gets excited to see them there. he ate pretty well for him.. 3 nuggets and a few fries. the staff was so nice and gave him a balloon and a cute little chickfila cow.

we came at a great time and we were the only people in the playground... he loved it. we climbed all the way to the top where he saw the car which he loved but was too scared to go into the tunnel to get there until i showed him it was okay and carried him there. he kept driving the car making his cute car noises. we went down the big slide a few times and i noted that i am getting older since i had a difficult time crawling in these tight spaces. anyways, we had a great time and played for a long time.

after lunch, we headed to a new park that looked fun. noah squeals with excitement pretty much every time we pass a park. he got out and started running and clapping. this one was more his size without those scary open drop offs i always worry about. he swung and went down the slide a few times before making our last stop.. ice cream! we got some frozen yogurt with his favorite.. sprinkles and he ate the whole thing. and he only had a couple of drips on his clothes.. which is good for him. we sat outside and talked to a friend we ran into from church who actually watches n every week on sundays. we then sat out and watched all the birds.. another favorite pastime of his :)

this was one of my favorite days. ever. and i think noah thought so too :)

a day with mommy.. part one

i took off today to have an extra long weekend with noah.. just a day for me and him with nothing to do but play and have fun. noah slept in until 9:00 which is a record for him. we then played and had a late breakfast.. then we headed to go get some donuts.. his new favorite. we brought them to the park and ate them up by the slide.. it was perfect out..low 70's .. heaven. we played for about an hour and didn't think about anything i 'had' to do and just spent time with noah.. and it was the perfect day. noah was such a big boy.. he climbed all the way up the monkey bars and he was so proud of himself as i held my arms up underneath him just in case he slipped but he went all the way up. he loved to swing and we went down the slide about 20 times i think. after an hour, it was nap time so we headed on home .. until lunchtime that is.

celebrate adoption

today we celebrated adoption at our awesome agency, gladney. one of the reasons we chose gladney for our adoption agency was for this.. the gladney family association. a place where adoption is celebrated and where noah can come over the years and hopefully develop lifetime friendships with other adoptees. noah is actually a very lucky little boy.. he is incredibly blessed and have so many people that love him. adoption is a gift and we are so thankful God let us down this path. we would not have had it any other way.

the last event we went to was in february and noah was a little too small to enjoy many things.. not today. it was a very hot and humid day here in texas. note the rosy cheeks in all of the pics.. and did i mention it was right smack in the middle of his afternoon nap? good thing i edited out many of the pictures.. he was beyond done after 45 minutes or so.

he started off in the bounce house for the kiddos under two and loved it.. he kept seeing his daddy on the other side and would scream in excitement but had a little problem walking over to get him.. i wish i had it on video.

then we road the cho cho train where he kept clapping and would say 'weee' under his breath.

when daddy found out a few weeks before there was a petting zoo, he was very excited about it. note: this is the guy who before we had noah, we would go to the zoo and he would be in line at the petting zoo between a 5 year old and a 2 year old. hah. noah was mesmorized by this weird white chicken with crazy hair. he was the mic jagger of chickens. hahaha. they had the cutest little pig that was about 5 pounds and noah would have been more interested if he had of not been 'no nap noah'. we then talked to heidi, the incredible lawyer who fought for our family last year, and to melissa and lisa, our caseworkers. noah was being a little fussy so they gave him a lemonade frozen pop which kept him entertained while we caught up. and he kept sharing his pop with me.. too cute :)

noah staring down the crazy chicken.. he was so perplexed!

the day ended with what else.. a pony ride! he perked up and was too excited while we waited in line. he played with daddy while mommy met some other adoptive parents and we shared stories. it is so neat to be around hundreds of other adoptive parents, and each story is completely different.. and wonderful. he LOVED the pony ride.. he knew exactly what to do and was smiling the entire time. he better not ask mommy for a pony soon because i don't think i could say no to that little face!

where did our little baby go? he looks way too big in these pictures.
