it's official!!!!!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. -Psalm 118:24

July 23 is a very special a day for us. it is official. it is an extra, extra, extra special for us. the journey is over. it is finished. the day we officially became a family of three (legally)! our battle is over and we can move forward with how things should have been all along. God's glory has been so evident with our situation and i am still in awe of how He has/is using us and our sweet little noah for His glory. God never let us go. Even in the darkest days, He was with us and has great things in store for us. I am honored and humbled to have suffered for His glory and name.
We had our photos taken by a friend, who did a wonderful job of capturing one of the most important days for our family.

Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
-Psalm 127:3-5

taking his oath..

Noah picking out his stuffed animal.. I saw it while we were up there and thought it was perfect… it says, ‘know what, God isn't the only one who thinks you're special'. We let him find whatever he wanted and he leaned right over to pick him up :)

The best piece of paper- EVER!

noah and sadye

my post earlier left out our poor little sadye cat. sadye is always laying in noah's room, i think she is just waiting to get attacked. noah will literally roll over her and is like a speedbump (she's 25 lbs). but she is such a sweet heart and so affectionate to noah, even in her old age. he loves to pull her hair and he better stop soon because she appears like she is slowly losing hair in her old age.
but noah doesn't care, he loves her anyways :)

a shirt and a lobster

it all started with a shirt. with a lobster. and it did involve "mr. pinchy" from the simpsons. noah had on the shirt one day and his daddy was carrying him around and i came up to him and started "pinching" him with my hands like a pincer (never had to spell that before!) i swear, we have never gotten a full out belly laugh like that. so we kept doing it and each time, the laughter got louder and then he began to squeal. that day, "pinchy" was born.

noah loves "pinchy" in fact, he knows it by name. i'll tell him "pinchy" while we are sitting together and his eyes open really wide in anticipation. then jim will come out from around the corner running up to us hands in full pincer mode. noah will turn around really fast and "hides" his little head on my shoulders while laughing uncontrollably. i'll make him do it about 7 or 8 more times because noah enjoys it. and i do find satisfication in watching jim act goofy (but when is he not!)

silly, maybe. but we will do anything to make him smile.

da da da da

noah said his second word on saturday and hasn't stopped saying it. he loves his daddy so much and it melts my heart to hear him say da-da. and he is now "talking" to his toys and it seriously is the cutest thing ever. time is going by so fast and we are enjoying every single second of it.

we love you n!

wiggle worm

well, it's official, noah is off! he is crawling all over the place and can get from A to B (i.e from his room to the dog food bowl). he isn't crawling yet on his knees and he looks more like a little worm. but he's the cutest little inch worm that i have ever seen. and so it begins. loving every second. we are blessed to have this little ball of energy with us. he makes every day special.

best buddies!

then . . .

now . . .

the more time that passes, the more suki LOVES her noah. she follows him wherever he goes and always has to be the first one to give him kisses. noah now grabs hair (and it hurts, real bad) and pulls it until you unlock the death grip. who knew a baby could be that strong. well suki is long haired (plus a full on beard) so that does not come to her advantage around noah. but she will let him pull and poke at her only to attack him with more kisses.

and the cats, well, the cats. that's all i really have to say. they are 11 (sadye) and 9?? (seymour- rescue cat) so they don't get around. much.at.all. sometimes when i leave for work, sadye is on the back of the couch and when noah and i get home around 5:00, she is still there. but they do love them some noah and they both will let him literally roll over them. and grab handfuls of hair which mom isn't too thrilled about. hey, he's not allergic to cats which is good. i was deathly allergic to cats when i was young. no fun.

p.s.- sadye not that we don't love you but it's late and i searched for a while to find you in pictures...will post some of you later =o)

my little firecracker

noah enjoyed his first 4th of july. we went over to a friends house for a bbq and swimming. noah loves the water so that is where we spent most of the evening. i took a few pictures of him before the events began and as you can tell, he was not thrilled to be outside in this blasting summer heat! he was mesmerized by the wind chime. i was happy to try out my recent graduation present which was a nice new camera (which i have yet to figure it out). i have a good subject to snap away. i think he is finally gotten over the camera in his face. almost.every.day!

he also got to experience fireworks from our driveway from a nearby park where they shot them off. i thought he would be scared of the loud popping, but he loved watching all of the fireworks. he is definitely my favorite little firecracker :)
