noah's first haircut!

well, we finally broke down and got noah a haircut! mommy was sad to see his little curls go! now he looks so grown up! he did wonderful! no tears at all.. they had dvds and he was so happy when he saw his favorite.. baby einstein!! he picked out the taxi cab to sit in. he didn't even seem to know he was getting his haircut! such a big boy!

splash pad take five!

noah LOVES the waterpark.. so far we've been 5 times and he loves it more and more each time we go. the first time we went, he couldn't get up on the slide without us helping him but the past few times he climbed up all by himself and slid down belly first! after he slid about twenty times, we had snacks and he even got his first ice cream bar! he loved it.. and loved watching the birds nearby.. that boy loves birds! and today i took him down the huge slide! mommy is waay to old to go down it but he loved it and then ran back and grabbed my hand to take him up again. i wish i had a picture of it but i'm sure we'll be back very soon :)

lions, tigers, and polar bears

we took a little trip down the road to cabela's. noah has been there once before with daddy but it was my first time to go. it is pretty neat! first off, it is free and it has a pretty big aqarium and lots of animals.. it is really like a museum.. and did i mention it is free? noah had a blast looking at all of the animals. he was so crazy, he fit in with them all. he was a wild one! he was running like crazy trying to see everything.. good thing i have a good shutter speed on my camera!

three hundred and sixty five

365 days ago, we finalized our adoption. july 23rd will always be such a special day to our family. it not only signifies the day our adoption was finalized but is a story of God's grace, mercy, and redemption. see last year's blog post here. this day will make us always remember how good God is and how He can make all things work together for His good.

noah, every year on this day, we plan to celebrate the day just me, you, and daddy. all day.. whatever you want to do :) it will be our special day. now and forever.

happy adoption day noah! you are such a gift from God. we love you so incredibly much and thank God every single day for blessing us with you!

e is for elmo

noah LOVES elmo. elmo's world, his elmo dvds/cds, elmo sippy cup, elmo pjs (he wants to wear almost every night), elmo toothbrush, elmo remote, elmo couch, elmo on his diapers, elmo shirts, elmo books, his new elmo cd his g found him, and of course his elmo doll. i guess you could say he likes elmo ;) and i'm sure i've left off some elmo apparel. when he is wearing a shirt with elmo he is always looking down at it pointing and trying to pull it down so he can see the whole elmo.

we even picked out about 10 different sesame street cd's when we went to the library and out of all of the songs.. his favorite that he asks for is 'elmos song'! he lights up when it comes on and the other day was signing for 'more' when it ended. so pretty much every time we go anywhere he'll want this song.. or his other favorite song.. bop. i'll have to post about that more later. that is the song that is on constant repeat throughout the day. anyways, noah loves his elmo :)

bah

noah's favorite thing to eat it seems like is 'bah'. what's bah you ask? why don't you see for yourself..

a few weeks ago, he learned how to open all the doors! we are in trouble! so now he can grab the peanut butter. good thing he can't just open it yet!

noah likes his bear rides and crayons too...

what are two of noah's favorite things.. crayons and bear rides but of course! all you have to do is ask him if he wants to color and he marches and says 'yeah, yeah' and will run to where we keep them and then run fast back into his playroom to color. he loves scribbling and every now and again will sneak a little bite of the crayon. silly boy! for the most part he knows he can only color in his spiral but sometimes he will try to grab the crayon and run but doesn't get too far ;)
his new thing to do which i can't get enough of is he will bring you whatever he wants.. in this case, his coloring book and put it in your lap and will sit down on you and will color. i love this little guy so very, very much!

he also loves his bear rides.. whether it is mommy or daddy, he will run up to you and get on your back if you are sitting and laugh uncontrollably.

crazy hair!

noah woke up with some crazy hair! i love it so much :) and i think it is getting close to his FIRST haircut!

every boy needs a sandbox

i have been wanting to buy noah a sandbox for a long time and was so excited when we finally did. he can only go out right before his bath since it is cooler out and then he can go straight to the bath! he loves it! right now he is obsessed with hiding and finding his feet.. he thinks it is the funniest thing.. he couldn't stop laughing when i hid them in the sand. 

i see many sandy evenings in our future :)

waterpark fun

a few weeks ago, we headed up to a splashpad a friend told us about... and noah loved every minute of it! since then, we have been back twice and plan to buy a season pass since he loves it so much. his favorite thing to do is go down the slide.. i swear yesterday he went down about thirty times and will climb up and go down on his belly and likes to climb onto everything and splash around. it's about the only thing we can do to beat this texas heat!
