apples, chickens, and gar-gars

we headed out yesterday morning to an apple orchard just a few miles up the road. we thought there was a pumpkin patch and was kinda bummed but nevertheless, we had a good time. noah loved running (when does he not) and loved picking out apples off the tree. he LOVES apples. these were the perfect noah size and fit perfectly in his little hand. they had chickens out back and little garden paths with butterflies, flowers, and cool little walkways. for the past month or so, noah loves saying garden. but the way he says it is the cutest thing ever. he calls them 'gar-gars'. too cute. we bought some awesome homeade apple pies and apple cakes. noah loved his apple so much, he ate it all in the car.

i am going to make it a monthly tradition.. to take off and spend all day with noah. just us. other than the fact i suffered an.awful. allergy attack and was popping benadryls, it was a good day. we slept in. ate donuts. went to the park. played chase. ate mummy hot dogs. watched airplanes. watched a bubble guppies episode with moshi on the couch snacking. took a three hour nap. thank goodness. the benadryl was kicking in. woke up. sneezed about 100 times. went for ice cream. and then went grocery shopping. i love days like this. allergies and all. until next month.

tonight we went to isaac's second birthday. i met isaac's mom, bethany, a few years back before we even knew the path of adoption God would lead us to. and God knew we both needed each other in our lives. she is a dear, sweet friend. you can read about their incredible story of isaac's homecoming here. it is a story of God's faithfulness. it is a must read.

this was the cutest birthday party we have been to.. they worked so hard

and built a huge rock box and had real construction signs (dave works construction).

it was awesome. they did such a good job. all the kids were having a blast.

i love you to the moon and back

 

over the past few days since we have been spending most time out back, noah has become obsessed with the moon. he points up and it and squeals and starts clapping. he knows from his favorite book, twinkle twinkle little star, that the moon is made of cheese so he just starts flashing his cheese face and also yells 'cow' because in goodnight moon, the cow jumps over the moon.

outside fun

it was perfect outside on friday so me and noah decided to play outside for hours. he played with chalk for the first time and loved it.. he loved to scribble on the patio and would try to pick up as many pieces up and carry them around. we went down the slide a lot, laughed, ate snacks outside, blew bubbles, chased each other, and layed in the grass watching airplanes. it was awesome. it's the little things like this that i love. jim always says i take too many pictures but if i didn't, i wouldn't have this afternoon to look back on in pictures. 

amazing to think back to when he was this small.. noah's first trip to the zoo was at four months, my how he had grown! where has my little baby gone? we have cherished every stage with him and it honestly just gets better and better :) truly blessed indeed!

ZOO!

today was a beautiful day and we decided to head to the zoo when they opened. it was perfect outside, i wish it was 70 degrees everyday of the year. we didn't stay too long but had a great time.

i LOVE this picure..finally one with all 3 of us smiling instead of one having their eyes closed.. or a fussy noah or daddy ;) i will have to do a side by side comparision of us all on this turtle the first time he went, my how he has grown!

noah loved to watch the crocodile and loved the snakes and reptiles - ick! that's about all we got to do because it was naptime but we can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks for boo at the zoo!
