On Christmas Eve, we made some cookies for santa. Noah is such a good little helper. he loves to watch and help (or attempt to grab) with whatever you are making. he wanted to eat the dough but settled for a cookie. he walked over carefully to the fireplace and set down the bowl for Santa. I wanted to start a yearly tradition of making a birthday cake for Jesus but I didn’t have all the ingredients and I didn’t dare to venture out to the grocery store on Christmas eve. but we’ll just start that next year when noah understands a bit more about Christmas. And hopefully a little about why we celebrate… Jesus. And next year for the Advent tradition. I need to get to work on that come October so I don’t get sidetracked like I always do.

Noah woke up around 8:00 on Christmas morning and I was so excited for him. we let him open a few presents and he quickly learned what a present is. and he was a pro at unwrapping the gifts. We let him open one of his favorite things… Cars. he is obsessed with ‘caas’ he recognizes the logo on anything and gets so excited. he thought the lighting mcqueen car that talked was the coolest thing ever. we also let him open the cars 2 dvd and he danced around with it. and got so excited when we put it in to play. We then made some cinnamon rolls and he quickly devoured 2. I won’t say how many I had.
We had a relaxing morning and had family over at 3:00 (naptime is key in our house) even though he had a nap, he was very cranky. Now we now why.. he was coming down with the stomach flu and showed up a few days later. which was not fun, by the way.

noah entertaining everyone
noah wouldn’t eat any of the dinner we made. I think he had some puffs and maybe a roll. not much. that’s the story of my life. mealtime is a battle. and mommy and daddy usually never win. but anyways..
getting into the gifts...
he got cash for his savings, anything Cars related, tag junior reading system and books, a cool melissa and doug toy with tons of latches (the kid loves to play with latches), tons of random toys, Lion King (my favorite Disney movie) he isn’t interested in it as we watched the first few minutes, I realized it is kind of creepy and scary (may have to put that one on hold or fast forward through the beginning), reading flashcards, a ride on worm for our long hallway, he got a pretty cool train table. and man, I have never seen him play with anything like he does this. whew! it can give mommy a few minutes while I get dinner made. but only a few.
didn't take too many pictures of him opening gifts but here are a few...
and our AMAZING gift by my awesome dad. he made the coolest thing ever. a mason light fixture. we love it so much!
and the most important thing of all... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS.
