our doption day

 

 

 

mommy took a day off to spend with you on this extra special day. just me and you. we woke up and snuggled and watched your favorite episode of bubble guppies.. bubble bites :) and then headed out to get our special treat.. your favorite ... chocolate sprinkle donuts! then we headed up to a church to play in the playground... you had a blast. of course, you would call for momma to help you when you got stuck and then just wanted me up with you. i love when you do this. i know it won't last for long so i relish it up :) after we played we went to go get you some sonic ice and then you had a request for.. fries, nuggets, and chocolate milk.after we had a little picnic in your playroom, we took a nap and then did one of your favorite things.. make cupcakes! you had such a good time and got some good video of you saying happy doption day! that made my heart smile so big.

 

i am so grateful to be your momma. there isn't a day that goes by that i thank God for giving us you. you give us joy like we never knew existed. you light up the room with your spunky, goofy, crazy self. i love you to pieces and just when i think i can't love you any more, my heart stretches and grows to make more room for more. you are so loved little one. you have such an amazing story of God's love and faithfulness to those who love Him. and i am so thankful He chose me and your daddy to have the most wonderful task we will ever have.. to raise you and to show you the Lord's love for us all. happy doption day little one. we love you to the moon and back. always forever.

happy "doption" day. july 23rd.

today is a special day. today is the two year anniversary of Noah's adoption day. this is the day we officially became a family. the day everything ended. the day where everything began.

we will never forget the dark days but God's light overcame it all. it shows as a reminder of how He can use what was meant for bad for His good and glorification. this is the day we will always rejoice in and will always be a reminder of God's grace, faithfulness and goodness. God did a mighty mighty thing for our family and we are forever grateful and will always show Noah how He loves us.

a long overdue post.

today was cow appreication day at noah's all time favorite place.. chickfila or "chay". noah LOVES chickfila and when you even mention chickfila he will tell you.. "fries, nuggets, chocolate (chokit) milk.. play". we were so excited to all dress up this year. noah was beyond excited and his favorite part was "painting" his nose. after i put my eyeliner on him, he said, momma, paint nose. then when daddy got home he had to join in on the fun. daddy even wore a tail. we got there and it was packed! chickfila is such a wonderful company and gave out free meals to anyone who dressed up. then they gave all the kiddos little cows. we had such a fun time. noah loved the cow that was walking around. he had to go up to him three times. and we got a family picture at the end. funny thing.. this is one of the best pics of us and we are all dressed up as cows. i love it :)

we like to target.

you are obsessed with target. so is mommy which is trouble. you ask all the time if we can go. like everyday. when we pass it you used to have a crying fit and say "target 3 baby" because they have a huge toy story 3 poster hanging up) but now (few months later since i've been so bad at blogging) you just talk about what we buy there.. usually its "baby wipes, baby puffs, baby diapers, clean, juice, water...." then when you see anything at the house whether its milk, water, sunscreen, chips, shirt, its "got target". and you are the best little helper. you are so good at loading the groceries on the belt at the checkout and then have to "draw" on the credit card machine. i love my little target buddy :)

two and a half!!!

june 29, 2012. your two and a half birthday :D cupcakes and a celebration was in order. of course. we played outside, watched some kung fu panda, ate some chickfila (we love our cfa) and dug into your cupcake. we sang you happy birthday and you clapped and cheered. you managed to eat most of it.. then bounced from wall to wall and stayed up past your bedtime snuggling in bed. happy half birthday sweet boy!! we love you more and more each day.

happy birthday mamaw!

we celebrated mamaw's birthday today. we are all so lucky to have our wonderful mamaw in our lives. noah is such a lucky little boy to spend his days with her when mommy and daddy cant. she loves her little noah with all of her heart and he has her wrapped around his little fingers. when it is time for naptime, after she puts you down in your bed, kisses all you ten little toes and rubs your back, you will call out with something random.. mamaw, knee hurt.. mamaw foot hurt, elbow hurt. you are one sly little boy. she never seems to mind.

we went out to eat with mamaw, papaw, G, and jordan. noah loved this place! he was on his best behavior. we usually avoid restaurants because he is only good for um, say five minutes. max. but this time he was so good and was being so silly! he even ate a lot! some pancakes.. some bacon, biscuits, and a few bites of egg. after we ate, we all shopped around and he loved looking and shopping around. then he loved playing some checkers with uncle jordan :)

he played this game almost the entire time. we had to buy it for him - such a good fine motor skill!

a day for donuts.

june 1st is national donut day. a celebration was in order. we loveeeee our donuts. after i left work i ran by dunkin donuts to pick up a little sweet surprise.

we ate out on the backporch. you loved it as usual. i think you were a little confused as to why we ate before dinner but you didnt seem to mind ;)
