our first (magical, wonderful, blessed...) night as a family of THREE

today has been a whirlwind and simply the best day we have ever had... the day we became a family of THREE. we are blessed beyond belief and are extremely thankful for the gift we have been given. and by far, this is the best way to bring in a new year... best new year's eve in the books!

today marks the first day of the rest of our lives...








we will always celebrate this day together... God is so good!

today has simply been the best day ever... we are so thankful to H&P for the gift they have given us. words can't express the love and gratitude we have for them. the meaning of noah means "rest". and God has given us our peaceful resting place as a family.

okay, this is the bestest day EVER! we are so exicted. i have been up for hours washing stuff, putting stuff together for his arrival this afternoon! jim is enjoying his last day to sleep in!

what an INCREDIBLE day!!!








what a blessed day we have had! we got to spend a lot of quality time with our little guy and his birth mom. we had an incredible day, got to hold him, stare at him, fight over holding him, feed/change/dress him. we were thrilled and loved every second of it! and a few times, after being asleep in my arms, when daddy went to hold him, he started crying ;) he is going to be a momma's boy~ that is for sure. we simply can't wait to get this little guy home! what an awesome way to bring in 2010!

we are so incredibly grateful to H&P and words can't express the way we feel towards them. they are truly, amazing, wonderful, inspirational people and we will always love them both (along with noah!) and will always let him know how much he is loved. and noah will always know how much they love him. this little guy is loved by so many people and that makes me feel so happy! i know hundreds of wonderful people have been praying for noah, for the great birth parents, their families and our families. when i looked at him today, i couldn't hold back tears when i looked at him... after our many years of struggling to have a biological child, it became crystal clear why we hadn't through the years. at the time, we didn't think it was fair and thought GOD didn't have a plan for us but HE has been working on this plan for such a long time. WE all were meant to be together. noah james was placed into our special family for a REASON and that makes me love him that much more.

the below verse has meant a lot to me over the years..
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

i can hardly contain myself! i am so pumped to see noah today!!! 2 1/2 more hours to go! yippeeee!!!

HE'S HERE!!!!

today has been such a wonderful, exciting, stressful, anxious, hopeful day! we found out around 9:00 this morning that noah arrived (on a texas, snowy day!) at 7:00 a.m!!!! everyone is doing well which we are thankful for! he weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces. my phone has been glued to my hip all day b/c i didn't want to miss a call from our case worker or our birth mom.

TOMORROW at 11:00 a.m. is the big day! we will finally meet him face to face. i just don't know how i can sleep tonight. we are so pumped to see the little man and hold him. i know i will just die when i see him. we have waited for him for so long and are so thankful that God has put us, him, and the birth parents together! we couldn't be happier!! i just wish i could fast forward! i can't wait to hold him and to see the birth parents~ they are so amazing!

a funny story... my parents are such pack rats (sorry guys- you are)! i really don't know how i got to be like i am, i get rid of everything- can't stand clutter! back to the story... so my dad was cleaning out my mom's old storage chest where she kept her rocking 1980's country wood thingys she used to make for craft fairs. he threw away most everything but found a piece of paper with the below scripture that my mom had wrote about 20 years ago. my mom then told me about it just when i needed it the most. then, tonight when i was getting my hair cut, my stylist had a small wooden frame with the same passage as below... coincidence....? i think not.
hebrews 11:1
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

this has been such a ride but we both know that little noah will soon be with us. words cannot express how that makes me feel.

what a wonderful christmas!

This the best christmas EVER!!! our miracle is just around the corner and we are so incredibly thrilled and blessed! we got lots and lots of stuff for the little man. we got our glider and lots of clothes for him and a case of diapers! his nana got a wonderful cowboys jersey for next football season. jim is so happy to have a little boy so he can have fun watching sports and teaching him to play the drums! i spent most of the evening washing his newborn clothes and setting up the nursery. i just wish that darn bedding would come in! plus, for christmas, jim promised to help me pimp out this blog (some might call me technically challenged) so i am really excited to see the finished product.

welcome to blog world!

Well folks,
I have finally made it into the blog world. Now we have a reason to blog... we are currently in the process of adopting a wonderful, little baby boy, Noah James! We are thrilled beyond belief! It has been a long road for us but we are extremely thankful because it has led us to our wonderful birth parents who chose us to raise him. We are extremely blessed and thank God everyday.
