weeeeeeeee

Over the past couple of months when we get a warm day, I will take n to the park. He absolutely loves to swing! He now knows that “weeeeeee” means swing. When you say it, get gets so excited and know that and ‘the park’ by name. he even says ‘weeee’ on a regular basis! On his baby Einstein video, it has a little girl swinging and when he sees her, he will say ‘weeee’. Cutest.thing.ever!

first time on the swing- look at that face!

family photo shoot :)

we had our pictures taken by my wonderful dad last weekend. the weather was extremely humid and horribly windy but he managed to get a bunch of wonderful pictures! and G did a great job of being the baby wrangler and acted goofy to get him to smile! n looks so grown up! i can't believe how much he is growing.

and it wouldn't be complete without an out-take :) here's n grabbing my hair while jim points and laughs. lovely.

i.am.thankful

thanksgiving is a day to give thanks. what an amazing year we have been blessed with so far.

today I am thankful for God's grace, my wonderful husband (who is simply the best daddy), my family, my friends, my church, and for noah's birthparents who blessed us tremendously with this little guy.

to the best thanksgiving ever :)

What’s in a name?

Noah: v. rest, settle down, comfort, quiet.

In the Old Testament, Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. The Hebrew word for favor is GRACE. And we all get grace from God. Noah walked with God and by grace he was made righteous and walked with the Lord. Please note that Noah wasn’t righteous first and then found favor with God. Noah wasn’t perfect but with God’s grace, he was made righteous. He was forgiven by God. By grace. Grace changes things.

Noah was ridiculed and mocked every day for his actions. Um, I mean, he was building a huge boat in the desert. But God spoke to him to build a boat and he listened, and more importantly, he followed. Although he didn’t know why, he obeyed. He trusted. And he did not question God and his intentions.

He shared his heart with everyone and in the hundred plus years, no one joined him. Still, every day, he preached. And he built the boat. He believed. He trusted. He had hope. And he had faith in God, despite his circumstances. Noah had great struggles with his suffering but when it started to rain, he had no regrets.

I pray that Noah will learn the significance of his strong name. and I know in my heart, he will.

twinkle twinkle little star

noah loves to read and his favorite book of all time is "twinkle twinkle little star". we read this to him several times a day and if you just say, "twinkle, twinkle", he does his cute, mischevious 'heh' laugh. on each page there is a star and noah does such a good job finding the star hidden on each page. he started pointing at them a few weeks ago and gets so happy when you cheer at him for finding them.

noah, you are mommy and daddy's little star! we love you!

noah and the piano

We got a piano the other day from noah’s great grandma… and noah loves it. I think it would be better if one of us could play for him but for now, he is enjoying just banging around on it. maybe one day he will want to play it! he crawls right up to it, stands on his tip toes and plays.. when he hits the keys, he gets the hugest smile on his face!

zoo- take two!

Noah at the zoo- take 2! We have been waiting to take n back to the zoo (see last post here) and thought we would all have a blast taking him in his cute little tiger costume to Boo at the Zoo! We brought his wagon which he loves and thought it was the coolest thing ever to ride around in it! It was a perfect day for the zoo.

He loved the aquarium, the petting zoo (a goat tried to kiss his foot) but his favorite part of the day was the bird house. I honestly was a bit creeped out to be in a cage with 300 plus birds but did it for n. daddy bought a few sticks to feed the birds and they flocked to him. I opted not to feed the birds but stand, take pictures, and diverge n’s fingers from grabbing the tails. he also picked out his first pumpkin to take home with him.

Last time, noah got jelly, his little monkey so we had to get him a little lion to remember. He loved him and he even took a spin in the wagon later that night with him and suki.

We can’t wait to take him to the zoo next year. I am sure he will love it even more.. and next time he will be a toddler, sniff, sniff.

To the cutest little tiger ever… and what is with that face?!!?

noah's first boo-day!

our little tiger. noah and suki cruised the neighborhood in style in the wagon. he loved all of the decorations and got excited to see them all. we then went to a couple of houses for noah to get some candy.. he wasn’t so sure of what was happening but did manage to grab a few pieces of candy for mommy to eat later! He helped me pass out candy and loved looking at all of the kids in their costumes. we sat on the front porch while he guarded the candy bowl.. and managed to swipe a few pieces in hopes of a taste.. but no luck!

after all the candy fun, we ordered pizza and he got to try pizza for the first time. noah loved it! it wasn’t but dough and sauce but he loved it and kept asking for more!

happy boo day to our little boo! next year, he will be running to each house.. makes me happy but a little sad, sniff, sniff!
