first real trip to the mall.

 

on friday, we decided we would head up to the mall. surprisingly we have never really been before. maybe we went twice and the last time we went last year, you got strep throat a few days later. back to the story. you were so excited. we passed cfa and we had to stop and get some lunch and a special treat, chockit milk :) we don't let you have it often because you bounce off the walls even without any sugar. if we could have an ounce of your energy.. we found the carousel and you were such a big boy and put the dollar in all by yourself! you were over the moon excited. so how could i have not let you ride two more times and ride them all once? such a sucker. then we walked into penney's and you had to shake the manniqans hands and wave to everyone. you always say, "hi noah!" its the cutest thing. i'm working on the "hi my name is noah" but for now, i love "hi noah". we practiced your independent walking. this will take some time. you are a runner and not a good listener. not a great combination. let's hope you pickup on this soon.

 

we went to the playground where you played for a long, long time. you had so much fun :)  we then went and got you a balloon and then you danced on the moon. momma taught you how to moonwalk. we had such a fun day. and it was only $3. and you can't beat that!

to my sweet little angel, i love you so incredibly much. i can't remember my days without you. without your sweet gentle spirit. without your light you bring to everything. i love spending time with you and i love our little dates. when it is only us, like tonight when it was just me and you all alone at the park. and your sweet little voice talking. you trying to jump and catch the moon. sometimes i wish i could keep you at this age forever. i love how you will run so fast just to fall into my arms. how you say momma and then light up. your goofy little faces. the way you will gently touch my face and look into my eyes. the silly things you do. your sticky hands and your joyous laugh. i am so glad you are my son. i thank Jesus every single day for you.

your first ever packed lunch! mommy packed you some of your current favs.. apples, strawberries, rasberries, blueberries and some pb crackers and a string cheese and a milk :) they even said you ate most of it!

first time to wear your backpack! you were so excited ... and look like such a big boy! made me a little teary eyed of whats to come over the next few years.

you were running all over the place so excited to start before they opened up the doors. daddy managed to get a couple pictures of us before you ran off again.

wait - hold up. is this my son sleeping?!?!?!?! i was completely shocked to see you sleeping. your sweet teacher, ms. krista rubbed your back (just like your mamaw!)  for about 30 minutes and then you finally drifted off to sleep. it was the cutest thing ever to see you sleeping away in your toy story nap pad with your shoes right beside you. your first nap ever in school! :)

hmmm.. what is another word for 'excited' hehehe. you are always full of life (and have abundant energy always) they said you are the sweetest little guy - we couldn't agree more.  your teacher even rubbed your back to get you to sleep :)

 

 

 

later that night, mommy took you to get some ice cream at our favorite spot.. tcby. the perfect ending to celebrate your first day.

i can't believe our summer is officially over. we have had such a blast this year. the best so far. almost every weekend, we went here. you know when its friday and will then ask to go. i would ask you what do you want to do.. then you got a silly smile and said waterpark please. but it was always in a whisper. i loved that. this year, you love the big kid area. these pictures on here were pretty much all from different times :) you love the slide and you love to jump off the ledge to mom or dad. you love your floaties and think its the coolest thing ever to float. you love taking buzz every time we go. and another toy or two. we have our picnics which consist of some nuggets, almonds, and apples with peanut butter. you love it the most when daddy gets to go with us. you love the pirate area and love riding on his back. you love when he acts like a shark and when he will go down the big slide with you. most of the time, it was me and you. just us and the sound of the splashes and your laughter.

 

we had a wonderful time and it makes me sad that we won't be back until next year. when you are a year older. it does make me sad to see my little baby growing up because if i could i would keep you at this age, two and a half, forever. but our days will keep getting better and better, that i am sure of.

 

 

 

meet the teacher.

 

 

welp. meet the teacher night at school. i know it is just pre-school. and just once a week on wednesdays from 9 to 2. but it is a school setting and that is one you have never been into. you were very excited to go to meet the teacher night. you were happy to meet your two teachers, ms. amy and ms. kristie. they thought you were such a little sweetheart. you are. you had to go into every room it seemed and it was hard getting you to leave.
