gone fishin.

today we went fishing for the very first time! daddy has dreamed of this day for so very long. you were so excited to go too. we got you a toy story fishing pole and you were over the moon at your big boy fishing pole like daddy's. 

like father, like son. 

we can't wait to take you back again! 

a special night.

we found another carnival and we were so there! G even surprised us and swung by to buy you some rides. this one was so special.... they had the disney dumbo elephants. it was so so much fun! we went up so high and you were so in love! i was too. you said, "we at disneyland momma!" you had such a smile. i wish i could bottle it up. 

all buckled in and ready to go up, up, up!!!

of course you had to ride the bears! they make mommy oh so sick but you oh so happy. you win. every time.

a perfect evening. i love our nights together. i am so lucky to have been chosen to be your momma. thank you Jesus. 

thankfulness and cherry coke slurpees

when you get older, momma prays you remember the times when we would stop for a slurpee and sit on the sidewalk and talk. and laugh. how we forget about everything else and in these still  moments, it's just us. alone. 

we try make every minute count and we hope that you will always know and remember that. 

the joy of us getting a slurpee, sitting when we should be eating dinner but put it off for a little bit longer, while the warm, gentle air blows your soft blonde curls, while they get curlier the more and more we sit. and laugh. the way you have sticky fingers, red lips, and how you always have to steal some of mine.. even if they are the exact same. 

these are small things. but the moments add up. i thank God for all these little things. i thank God for you, noah james. for these small moments that i cherish and hold close in my heart. for everything you have brought into our lives. 

little buddy

we had a mamaw and papaw weekend! you have missed seeing them so much and was so so excited to see them. when we pulled up, papaw was getting the mail. you and him used to do that every day. you ran up to him and he let you ride on his walker. 

you hung out, got a pallet made and relaxed with them for a little bit. 

every time we go there, you ALWAYS beg to go to goodwill. momma loves this and always goes to look for you some clothes. you like the candy. and the toys. this time, you found LARRY BOY! you were so excited. momma was once i got past the germ part. but immediately when coming home, i washed him in the washer a few times. hah. we decided to skip your nap for the afternoon to spend at the park. it was a nice, sunny day around 70. perfect in our book. 

on sunday, mamaw and papaw got out to go up to the bookstore and wanted to come by since they haven't in so long. you were so excited and was glued at the door. you were so so excited to show them your STAR WARS room! and your updated playroom. then you had to play doctor and read a few books with them. 

we love your special relationship with them... they love their little buddy so very, very much. 

then we sat outside and told stories.. goldilocks and little red riding hood.
