monsters.

your second movie. monsters university with mommy and daddy. you love monsters inc that your nana and pap gave you for christmas, it is one of your favorites. we have been seeing the ads for a very long time and we were so excited that the time has finally come!!!!

mommy and daddy were silly and didn't buy the tickets in advance and it was sold out (duh, on opening day). so we bought tickets for the next one and went to fuzzys. 

you did great!!! it was your second movie to go to and was daddy's first with you. it was such a cool movie.. you loved it except for the dean part.. she was pretty scary. but silly art made up for it, you loved him :)

dad.

happy fathers day to my dad. the man that was always there for me my whole life. who made my lunch every day and worked so hard so i could do all the fun things growing up. and gave me my love of tea.

today, he will do anything for us at the drop of the hat from rushing over after i clogged the garbage disposal, to changing my flat tire, to putting up an iron fence out back to helping master up noah's playroom. and he is selflessly watching noah during the day. he is the best dad i could have asked for. happy fathers day! love you.

you have the bestest daddy. he always puts you first, makes you bust out laughing hysterically by doing a silly dance or song, is patient, encouraging, always looks into your eyes, always tells you he loves you, and always gives you the best bear hugs. he loves you unconditionally and will always be there for you.

77 degrees and mud

77 degrees in june and in texas?!? we had to take advantage of it with a trip to the park. can't believe i am saying this but at times it got kind of chilly! we headed down while daddy cooked some steak. 

we had the whole park to ourselves. i love when that happens. so we swung and listened to the beatles. and played tag. and jumped in some mud puddles. you are only three once.

today was a big day that we have been waiting to take you for so long.  your first movie. just me and you. i took a day off to spend it with you.  we went by and stocked up on some goodies... peanut m&m's and sour patch kids (or sour boys as you call them). i promised you a big tub of popcorn and a big slurpee.

you helped me carry all of our goodies and we picked you a booster seat. you were so excited. so was i. we headed up and you picked out our seats... all the way to the top and the left. you sat on the booster seat with the large tub of popcorn, slurpee to the left and m&m's to the right. you barely peeked over that tub of popcorn. you sat so patiently as we waited for the lights to dim. we then watched the previews while you hummed the 20th century fox opening and narrated what was happening on the screen. you sat so still while munching away loudly with handfuls of popcorn while taking breaks to take a quick slurpee break. we laughed at the funny parts and you narrated most of the other events. i looked down at you and thought how big you are becoming and how time really does fly and as your momma, i must soak these moments up and hold them closely to my heart. 

what a special day spent with my little dude. 

i love moments like these and seeing your eyes sparkle. it makes my heart so happy and i cherish these moments. i am so happy to be your momma. 

until monsters university... 

first // ikea

first trip to ikea // you love ikea. never been there but we basically bought the store for your playroom so you know the logo. you were so excited to go there to get some new bookshelves for you. you got an ice cream and ate a little cinnamon whirl as you call them. and got a new foxy set.. foxy daddy and foxy baby :)

chipotle dates

you begged to go to chipotle for dinner. i can't ever turn that down. the lines are always long but you did surprisingly well (while playing with the forward facing camera. hehe) i had to coach you on the expected behavior and tonight, it did the trick! 

you asked for some beans and some guacamole (which you snubbed after one bite!) and lots of bites of tortilla. 

and note the water with lemon.. momma felt it was time to really eliminate diet drinks (because a certain someone always asks to try.. which i always say no. but its good to get rid of them anyways) so here we are with our water with tons of lemon. makes it so much better. today marks a whole week without one! very proud!
